Is Key decision?: Yes
Is subject to call in?: Yes
A decision is sought to agree the Health Inequalities Action Plan 15/17 which is a local response to Kent County Council’s Health Inequalities Action Plan; ‘Mind The Gap’ 13/15. This action plan sets out how we intend to improve health outcomes for everyone, but aims to improve health status for the poorest fastest. The plan also sets out how the local authority will use a targeted approach, working collaboratively with our partners from the voluntary and community sector, private sector housing, and health, to make a real difference for local people. The plan sets out evidence based aspirational targets to develop new and existing services.
RESOLVED:
That the ‘Mind The Gap’ Health Inequalities Action Plan 2015-19 be adopted.
REASON FOR DECISION:
In line with countywide public health responsibilities, this plan demonstrates our commitment to working in partnership with local stakeholders to improve health outcomes for people living and working in Tunbridge Wells, by having a greater understanding of local needs and services available to help achieve our priorities.
