Report detailing the tenders received for the roofing works to the Town Hall and AHT.  Outlining the scope of works required and additional detail regarding timetable for works.

Resolved – That delegated authority be given to the 151 Officer in consultation with the Portfolio Holder of Finance and Governance to proceed with instruction of the successful tender for roofing works, as detailed in the report be approved.

The roof works are essential to preserve the external and internal fabric of the buildings and allow for continued use.

The option to delay the work would result in the buildings falling into greater disrepair which would result in further secondary damage and in time the buildings would become unusable.  Further delay would also lead to increased expenditure being required.

No conflicts of interest were declared by any Member who was consulted in respect of this decision.
