RESOLVED – That members be appointed to the working groups of the Cabinet for the municipal year 2019/20 as set out at Appendix A to the report.

 

REASON FOR DECISION:

To ensure that the Borough Council maintains a collaborative approach and robust oversight of critical functions.

Minutes:

Councillor McDermott proposed the appointments as set out in the report.

 

RESOLVED – That members be appointed to the working groups of the Cabinet for the municipal year 2019/20 as set out at Appendix A to the report.

 

REASON FOR DECISION:

To ensure that the Borough Council maintains a collaborative approach and robust oversight of critical functions.

RESOLVED –

 

1.            That Councillor Joy Podbury replace Thelma Huggett as a Tunbridge Wells Commons Conservators for the remainder of the present term until 31 December 2019; and

 

2.            That, subject to the following substitutions, the nominated persons be appointed to the Outside Bodies for the terms of office specified as set out at Appendix A to the report:

 

a.            That Councillor Mrs Soyke be appointed to Rural Services Network in place of Councillor March; and

 

b.            That Councillor March be appointed to Tourism South East in place of Councillor Hamilton.

 

REASON FOR DECISION:

To ensure that the Borough Council maintains mutually beneficial relationships with organisations at a local, regional and national level.

Minutes:

Mark O’Callaghan, Democratic Services Officer, advised members of an error in the list of appointments which should have read as Councillor Mrs Soyke being appointed to Rural Services Network and Councillor March being appointed to Tourism South East.

 

Councillor McDermott sought agreement to the amended recommendation.

 

RESOLVED –
